Tamil Nadu: 17-year old drop-out rapes minor girl with a wedding promise, makes her pregnant

The police, after receiving complaints from the girl’s parents, registered a case against the 17-year-old boy under the Pocso Law and arrested him.

The girl and boy were residents of the same area, police said. Recently, the girl’s health deteriorated, after she was taken to the hospital.

In another incident of sexual violence, a little girl was suspected of being raped and infused by a 17-year-old boy in Tamil Nadu. The police arrested the accused on Friday, following complaints by the girl’s parents.

According to the police, adolescents were accused and the little girl was in the same environment. The boy was drop out of school and used to work as a collie. During a pandemic-induced locking, he helped the girl family. Both of them developed binding and began to meet outside their homes.

Recently, the girl’s health deteriorated, after she was taken to the hospital around it. Medical officers at the hospital diagnosed that she was pregnant. When his parents questioned her, she told them that she was physically involved with the 17-year-old boy, who had allegedly promised to marry her.

After this, the girl’s parents filed a complaint with the police against the boy, accused him of raping and impregnating their little daughter with a wedding promise. The police, based on complaints, registered a case against the boy under the relevant parts of the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acting and holding it on Friday. He was produced before the juvenile court and sent to the correctional home.

Another incident

In another incident, a man and his three colleagues were suspected of being raped by gangs and stabbed a 15-year-old girl in a village in the Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the report, a teenager, a 10th-grade student, at his home back from school with a bicycle when the four defendants dragged her to the agriculture field and raped him. When she opposed, they stabbed her with a knife.
